Wrong Church Attracts Tares

Matt 13:30

30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares , and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Over the years, this verse had me perplexed. I could not understand how the tares were gathered first and then the wheat were gathered into God's barn. I knew that wheat represented God's children and the tares the children planted by the evil one. Scripture says God is going to gather His children first before He pours out His wrath upon the earth. So how is it that Christ is saying that the tares are gathered first in bundles to be burned? Then I understood.

It is very important to understand that the field is the world, not the church. The tares are first gathered into bundles (grouped together)in the field. If the wheat is gathered and placed in the barn, then where are the tares placed? The tares do not go into the barn they are left in the field in bundles. Left in the world in bundles. The bundles are the churches, denominations, and false doctrines not of God where the tares have been gathered together. The difference between the tares and the wheat are the fruit. The fruit of the tares does not look like the fruit of the wheat and that is how you can tell them apart. Wheat carries full and heavy fruit. In comparison, the tare's fruit are slender and light. However, Christ also gives us a bigger clue on identifying the tares:

Matt 13:41

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

If you are in a church that tells you that even if you continue in sin it does not matter because you cannot lose your salvation, then it is not necessary for you to produce fruit. And in truth, the fruit you are going to produce will be offense and iniquity. However, if your church doctrine teaches that we all have to grow in the image of Christ and produce righteous fruit, then you are being taught the doctrine of Christ. Examine your church doctrine on the fruits because your eternity depends on it. If you are bundled together in a church full of tares then chances are you're being prepared for burning.
