A MESSAGE TO MINISTERS (when God is with you)

Individuals have often asked me if you do not command people to tithe, then how will the ministers be compensated? My answer: Invest in the spiritual growth of the believers in the church and they will provide willingly. Focus on creating an atmosphere of love and learning in the church according to God's standards and see how freely the presence of God manifest and people will give. There is one example in scripture where the people gave so much that the minister had to say, "Okay, that's enough please don't give anymore."

Ex 36:3-7

3 And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning.

4 And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made;

5 And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the LORD commanded to make.

6 And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing.

7 For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.

KJV

I noticed that before God asked the people to give anything they had already witnessed the power of God working among them. They knew the God they served was with them because He was manifesting in their lives on a daily basis. God instructed Moses to make sure he told the people it was a free will offering; no charge or penalty for not giving and no guarantee of blessings for giving was mentioned. So what made the people want to give until they had to be told to stop giving? The people witnessed the workings of God and they were assured He was with them. They had gratitude and wanted to show it by helping the building of the sanctuary. When people see the power of God working, they want to be involved with God's work and God's agenda. They will give willingly and more than enough. People want to be a part of something that they know is real. People want to follow men who they know follow God and are not taking advantage of them.

Moses had already walked in God's will to fulfill God's plan for His people. Moses set the standard and his obedience along with meekness, knowing it was not about him but about God, became the catalyst that allowed the power of God to manifest to the congregation without hindrance. The people saw this and participated in God's plan of building the sanctuary.

This is the question all ministers in the Body of Christ need to have a full understanding of, what does God require of me to allow Him to operate through my ministry? If God's power is not operating in your ministry, it will end or become a haven for counterfeit spirits. Pastors who lose God's power seek alternative power or come up with false doctrines to explain why there is no power. This is how so many churches end up operating under a power that is not of God such as witchcraft, psychology, the power of self (motivational speaking), and covetousness in an attempt to draw and keep people. This is also the reason many churches have come up with doctrines to deceive people into accepting the false teaching that God does not work miracles among His people anymore.

If you end up in one of these churches, they will socially assassinate you before they allow your relationship with God to expose them for who they really are, a powerless ministry. This is what happened to Christ. His ministry was exposing the falsehood of the priests. The priests were afraid of losing their status. There was no power in the priesthood. Then here comes this simple man as the Messiah with common class followers walking in the power of God. They could not explain the power of God flowing through Christ and His disciples and it was exposing them as being ineffective. If they accepted Him as the Messiah, then that too would jeopardize their standing among the people. They had to get rid of Christ at all cost so they falsely accused and killed Him to secure their status.

So how do you receive and ensure that God's power is operating in your ministry? God must be with you!

John 8:29

29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

KJV

Did you see that? I often teach this truth from scripture that when Christ is speaking, He is teaching. There are no wasted words in His conversations recorded in scripture. There is a message in everything He says. Christ pointed out that the Father sent Him, and because He always does what is pleasing to the Father, He does not leave Him alone. These are the two requirements that will guarantee your success in ministry.

1. God sent you: God has anointed and sent you to serve in the vocation of ministry you're working in. Sadly, countless ministers working in Christian churches today were not sent by God. Your father being a pastor does not make you a pastor. Just because you are a good speaker does not make you a pastor. Just because you have the zeal to be a pastor does not make you a pastor. Just because you have a degree does not make you a pastor. There are men who have never had a personal manifestation of God in their lives yet believe they are pastors. It's God's flock, not yours so why would He assign you and not be with you? He manifested to His flock Israel through the man of God Moses and those who He put His Spirit on to build the Tabernacle. Likewise, He will also manifest through the person He is using to lead the church and those assigned to minister to those in attendance. God has not changed. If you are a minister who has yet to have God manifest to you, take some time off and seek Him. Take some days to shut in, fast, and pray. I am not talking about a half day fast, I am talking about at least three days and try to do seven. Ask God to reveal what your vocation in the Body of Christ is and ask Him to empower you for your ministry. Before Christ sent out the disciples during His ministry He empowered them. Before Christ left after completing His mission He told the disciples (to include the apostles) to tarry in Jerusalem until the Comforter, the Holy Ghost comes and He would empower them to build God's Church. Do not let anyone fool you into believing you do not need the power of God in your ministry because we need it more now than ever.

2. He will not leave you alone if you do the things that please Him. If God is working through you to lead the church, you have to protect your relationship with Him. It is not about you, it's about God's desire for His people. You have to have a heart like David but understand he did not have a heart like God and could not. The statement that David was a man after God's own heart meant David was willing to put God's desires ahead of his own and he carried out God's will. You have to have a strong desire to do the things that please God even over your own desires and the desires of the people.

We are to be vessels of the Most High God to pour out mercy, justice, deliverance, and judgment upon the earth. When people see us they should see the hand of God working through us. Even though Jesus was the Son of God, He personified this as an example to us.

If we look at the great men of the Bible such as Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Job, Samuel, David, and Daniel, we will not find perfect men, yet God is perfect. An investigation into the hearts of the great men of the Bible will find that they were all different, yet what they all had in common was a strong desire to do God’s will. We will find men that were obedient to God’s will, who put God's desires before their own and before the desires of people. That truly is what it takes to be a man after God's own heart.

Matt 6:10

10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

KJV

Matt 26:42

42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

KJV

Heb 10:7

7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will , O God.

KJV
